Fall is in the Air & Cider will flow.

It's September and fall is in the air. We have had a horribly dry summer and my well is empty again. This is the 3rd time I have been left without water. Getting too old to lug buckets from neighbors. Thankfully, my son lives in town so I have a place to shower and do laundry.

I didn't get another opportunity to paint outside this summer...just Boston event. Too much to do and too little time. I have gotten a couple of commissions but didn't participate in any art shows this year. I certainly missed the camaraderie with other artists and potential clients. I thought I'd take a year off to, hopefully, help my joints heal. Art shows are a lot of work.

My studio & living quarters are in a 1908 cider mill. We only run the cider press on Columbus Weekend (Oct. 8-9) as a fundraiser for our local food pantry. It is a fun event and it's the best cider in the area. Pressing starts around 10am and continues until about 4 on Saturday and the public is invited to watch the process. Sunday we press less frequently starting in the morning and running until about 2-3pm. I hope you join us.
